Stream Clean Up Events
The URRR partners with the Clean Valley Council (CVC) and many other local organizations and governments each spring and fall to host clean up events. The next clean up event will be the Fall Waterways Clean Up and Celebration on October 4, 2008.
CVC supplies each team with trash bags, gloves, and first aid kits and coordinates with all of the teams and local governments to arrange for trash pick-up from each site. The day begins at 8:30 a.m. with teams meeting all over the valley to clean sites which they pick themselves. After the clean up, teams are encouraged to meet at Wasena Park for a picnic, educational booths, and live music.During this even last year, there were 64 registered teams, totaling 831 volunteers for the event. The amount of trash collected came to 6.45 tons, that's almost 13,000 pounds!

The register, fill out the registration form and mail or fax to the address or number on the form. Registrations are due by September 12.
